When:

• Usually the third Thursday of each month (see dates on the main page)

• Start at 3:00 pm with setup and unloading of the truck

• Distribution begins at 4:00 pm

• Cleanup will be at approximately 6:00 pm

• Come when you can. We're looking for volunteers for any of the time.

What:

• Set-up: Get tables from the church shed and set them up in the parking lot. Help unload the truck. May involve some heavy lifting. Can then work in food distribution.

• Food distribution: Staff a table or distribute food from a pallet. Restock your table when supplies run low. Should not involve heavy lifting.

• Clean up: Break down cardboard boxes and pile them to go out with recyclables for the following week. Stack pallets in designated places. Load any leftover food into trucks/trailers to go to local food pantries. Put tables away in the shed.

• Helpers to carry food: Assist clients as they come through the line. Help carry food to vehicles.

• Prayer warriors: Pray for good weather; smooth operation and distribution; and for the folks who will come to get food. May they be blessed. Safety for all involved.

Who:

• Anyone can fill any of these jobs.

• Recruit your friends and neighbors and their children.

• Sports teams, 4-H Clubs, Scouts, etc. are always welcome.

Where:

• Bergen Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 38 South Lake Rd, Bergen, NY

• Outside in the church parking lot.

• Dress appropriately.
